To catch up with the competition, Bezos plans to rapidly deploy the rest of the Kuiper constellation in the coming months and years.

Jeff Bezos-owned Amazon's Project Kuiper mission took its first flight today. The United Launch Alliance's (ULA) Atlas V rocket lifted off at 4:31 am IST from Cape Canaveral in Florida with 27 broadband satellites, all of which were successfully deployed in orbit 450 kilometres above Earth.

Amazon, a company that Bezos started as an online bookseller decades ago, launched the first batch of 27 internet satellites for its “Kuiper” broadband internet constellation on Monday. It aims to compete with SpaceX Starlinks.
