After witnessing a consistent decline in its collection, Varun Dhawan’s Baby John saw a slight jump in its box office performance on Saturday. According to Sacnilk, the film raked in Rs 4.25 crore, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 23.

With tough competition from 'Mufasa The Lion King' and 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', Varun Dhawan-starrer 'Baby John' made an underwhelming opening at the global box office.

The Varun Dhawan starrer hit the big screens on December 25, coinciding with the Christmas holiday. Said to be a remake of Thalapathy Vijay's Theri, the film is directed by Kalees and also features Wamiqa Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh.

An adaptation of Atlee's 2016 Tamil hit Theri, Baby John is turning out to be one of the biggest Bollywood flops of the year.

Pushpa 2 has dominated the box office for over 20 days, still earning more than Baby John. On its 23rd day, Pushpa 2 earned Rs 6.5 crore in Hindi, surpassing Baby John’s Rs 3.65 crore. Similarly, Mufasa, which has released in multiple languages, made Rs 6.6 crore on its eighth day.

Despite being Varun Dhawan's biggest opener in the last five years, Baby John is struggling to find its footing.
