(Reuters) -Mourners dressed in black lined streets in Iran's capital Tehran at a funeral on Saturday for top military commanders, nuclear scientists and some of the civilians killed during this month's war with Israel.

Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the head of the Revolutionary Guards’ air force unit, was among them. He was seen by Israeli officials as one of Iran’s most intelligent military commanders whose death would have been a real blow to the unit’s operations. Both were killed in the first days of the war.

The caskets of two generals and others were driven on trucks along Tehran’s Azadi Street as people in the crowds chanted: “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.”
