Inky Son, president of the expansion WNBA team in Portland, is leaving the organization after less than three months on the job.

Portland’s WNBA franchise has appointed a longtime Nike executive as its interim president after the sudden departure of the expansion team’s first and most prominent employee. Clare Hamill, who spent 43 years with the sportswear giant in a variety of roles, will replace Inky Son, sources told The Oregonian/OregonLive.

Hamill replaces Inky Son, Portland’s first president, whom the franchise hired in April but is out of the job less than three months later.
