After climbing 8.4% Tuesday, Paramount Skydance shares were up 32% to $14.49 in trading Wednesday. That’s the best two-day stretch on record dating back to Paramount’s initial public offering in 1990, according to Dow Jones Market Data. The company was a recent Barron’s stock pick.

Paramount (NASDAQ:PSKY) shares are climbing on Wednesday as investors reset expectations for the newly revamped media company, which recently completed its $8B merger with Skydance Media. PSKY extended its earlier gains to hit a session high.

In a record rally, shares of Paramount Skydance Corp. are up more than 40% in afternoon trading to lead the S&P 500 index. The dramatic jump in the media company’s share price has sparked meme-stock comparisons and comes just weeks after Opendoor Technologies Inc.
