After giving up the lead on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh, Matt Vierling delivered a two-out, two-strike RBI single in the top of the eighth, sending the Tigers to a 2-1 win.

One bold suggestion came from former center fielder Cameron Maybin, who thinks Tigers starter Tarik Skubal could end up with the Yankees. Maybin made the argument in a series of posts on his X account.
