Christopher Sponholz, 39, of Waukesha, Wisconsin is charged with felony hit-and-run involving death in the hit-and-run​ that killed Hussain Farhat, 40, on Christmas Eve Tuesday,

The tow truck driver who was hit by a minivan and later died on Dec. 24 in Waukesha County has now been identified, and a suspect is now in custody, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said the tow truck driver has been identified as Hussain Farhat, an employee of Yaffo Towing, which is out of Chicago, Illinois.

The Waukesha Police Department said around 6:41 p.m., a tow truck operator was loading a disabled vehicle on the eastbound shoulder of I-94 east of Sawyer Road when they were hit by a blue minivan that left the scene.

The community is coming together to remember a man killed in a Waukesha County crash that happened on Tuesday, Dec. 24.

Authorities say the tow truck operator was loading a vehicle on I-94 when he was struck by a blue minivan. The driver didn't stop after the collision.

The blue minivan did not stop and continued eastbound on I-94 until it exited at Highway C in an unknown direction.

Hundreds of tow truck drivers have shown Farhat's family support since he was hit by a blue minivan along Interstate 94 on Christmas Eve.
