Sue Bird confesses her love to city of Seattle ahead of 2025 statue unveiling before Storm's Sunday afternoon game against Mercury

Seattle Storm legend Sue Bird became the first player in WNBA history to be honored with a statue. On Sunday, the team unveiled outside Climate Pledge Arena a statue of Bird shooting a layup in her Storm jersey, immortalizing her in Seattle as one of the all-time greats to suit up in the WNBA.

Longtime Seattle Storm point guard Sue Bird, who already had her jersey retired and a street in Seattle named after her, had a statue erected in her honor outside Climage Pledge Arena on Sunday morning.
