Barcelona president Joan Laporta defended his handling of the Dani Olmo registration issue and lashed out at enemies attacking the club in a fiery speech on Tuesday.Laporta said one of the reasons for the registration debacle was because the club did not accept a new sponsorship deal with sportswear brand Nike in the summer.

The Spanish league and Spain’s soccer federation again denied Barcelona’s request to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor for the rest of the season.
