Caribbean Earthquake Sparks Tsunami Warning
A brief tsunami warning was issued for Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands on Saturday evening after a 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit the Caribbean Sea. The National Tsunami Warning Center has since confirmed that the threat of a tsunami has passed. Newsweek has contacted the Center, via email, for comment.

Major earthquake shakes Caribbean; tsunami threat subsides for islands
A Tsunami Advisory was issued on Saturday evening following 7.6 magnitude earthquake, which occurred southwest of the Cayman Islands in the Northwest Pacific. The National Tsunami Warning Center said sea-level fluctuations and strong ocean currents were possible in the aftermath of the earthquake but the threat did not rise to a Tsunami Warning.

Tsunami Warnings Shake Caribbean Cruise Destinations Following Earthquake
