Noughties rockstars Linkin Park have delighted fans with their brand new album – their first in seven years – with fans already giving it ’10/10′. The American rock band, formed in 1996, were one of the biggest acts of the 2000s, with their debut album Hybrid Theory selling 32 million copies worldwide.

Linkin Park started teasing the record in late August when they launched a cryptic countdown on their website and socials. Just over a week later, they shared "The Emptiness Machine" and played an intimate show in Los Angeles, revealing Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara as their new co-vocalist, as well as the details for From Zero.

It’s fair to say that September’s unveiling of Emily Armstrong as the new singer of Californian nu-metal band Linkin Park was met with a mixed reaction by fans. Opinions on social media ranged from “absolutely disgusting decision” to “f–king phenomenal”.
