Kasey Kahne, who last raced in NASCAR in 2018, will return to compete for Richard Childress Racing in the Xfinity Series race April 19 at Rockingham Speedway, the team announced Friday. The 44-year-old Kahne will drive a third entry for RCR.

Richard Childress Racing announced that Kasey Kahne will return to NASCAR with an Xfinity Series start at Rockingham. Dale Earnahrdt Jr., Kahne’s former Hendrick Motorsports teammate is excited to see the return.

Kahne will drive Richard Childress Racing’s No. 33 Chevrolet on April 19, when he will make his first NASCAR series start since Sept. 2018.
