B ill Moyers, the press secretary for former President Lyndon B. Johnson and a long-time television journalist who grew up in Texas, died Thursday at the age of 91.

Bill Moyers, the longtime, highly respected broadcast journalist and former White House press secretary, has died. Moyers, 91, a former resident of New Jersey, died Thursday. His son William Cope Moyers told The Washington Post he died in New York from complications of prostate cancer.
