But according to ESPN's Brooke Pryor, his participation does not signal any steps toward a new deal nor his acceptance of playing on his present contract.

Cameron Heyward was in uniform and participating with the Steelers in practice, but a source told ESPN that there hasn't been any movement on his request for a renegotiated contract.
