Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, will be taking on an official role to try to help President-elect Donald Trump make government more efficient. It will add yet another responsibility to an ever-growing to-do list for the increasingly distracted CEO and business leader.

SpaceX, headed by Elon Musk, has received billions of dollars from the federal government, for some important services rendered.

Trump also singled-out Mr Musk in his victory speech, spending several minutes praising his rocket firm, Space X. Mr Musk's association with the president-elect also boosted the share price of his electric car maker Tesla - and, with it, his net worth, which now stands at an estimated $290bn.
