The Israeli military expanded its Lebanon campaign with hundreds of airstrikes early on Monday, as the long-simmering border conflict with Hezbollah threatened to explode into a larger war. Dozens of Israeli warplanes struck more than 300 targets in southern Lebanon on Monday morning,

Israel urged residents of southern Lebanon to evacuate from homes and other buildings where it claimed Hezbollah has stored weapons, saying the military would conduct “extensive strikes” against the militant group.

The Israeli military on Monday warned civilians in southern Lebanon to move away from Hezbollah position and said it was intensifying attacks on its neighbor as the region lurched closer to an all-out war.
