AHMEDABAD, India (AP) — Authorities have started handing over remains of the victims of one of India’s worst aviation disasters, days after the Air India flight crashed and killed at least 270 people, officials said Sunday.
AHMEDABAD, India (AP) — Indian investigators on Friday recovered the digital flight data recorder, or the black box, of the Air India flight that fell from the sky and killed 241 people on board and several people on the ground, authorities said.
Only one passenger survived after an Air India plane that crashed carrying 242 people shortly after takeoff near Ahmedabad in western India on Thursday, Indian officials said, after local police said they feared there would likely be no survivors from the incident.
The Tata Group, which bought the airline three years ago, has been trying to improve operations at a time of great change in India’s aviation market.
