The miracle Utah rescue came after the man's brother had been buried under several feet of snow by an avalanche on Christmas Eve.

A Utah snowmobiler accidentally triggered an avalanche that buried his brother, whom he was able to save after spotting his fingers sticking out of the snow. The brothers and their father were riding snowmobiles across the slopes in the Franklin Basin area of the Utah backcountry near the Idaho border,

An Avalanche Warning is in effect in northern and central Utah as conditions are particularly dangerous this weekend, according to the Utah Avalanche Center.

Southern Utah should stay clear of the wet weather, but there’s a slight chance of a stray shower. A cold front is slated to move in this afternoon bringing valley rain and mountain snow. The backside of the cold front will be drier so widespread showers will become more isolated and continue drying out as we get into the evening.
