For the AL, all indications are the New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge will secure his second MVP award in three seasons. And in the NL, Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani appears to have his third MVP award locked up.

The home run meant he has three more blasts than Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani, whose 52 is the second-most in the majors. On Thursday, Ohtani crushed three home runs, going 6-for-6 with 10 RBIs in a win over the Miami Marlins. Ohtani also homered on Friday.

One of the Yankees’ heroes was Northern California native Aaron Judge, who blasted his 55th homer a day after hitting No. 54. Judge grew up 90 miles east of Oakland in tiny Linden, Calif. He remembers going to A’s games only one or two times as a kid because he was a Giants fan and preferred trips to San Francisco.
