• A food processing plant in San Antonio, Texas, suffered about $100,000 in smoke damage, mostly to food, after a cooler was found on fire on Dec. 13, 2021, according to KSAT-12 news.

The processing plant is one of 21 facilities operated by the ag giant in North America and provides a majority of west coast food service customers with fresh lettuce and vegetables.

One image (here) lists 12 fire incidents in food processing plants around the country. There is no evidence to suggest that any of these fires were premeditated in an effort to create a food shortage.
