The mind of Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones can be impossible to read at times. That's why the odds of who will be the next head coach of the Cowboys after the team and Mike McCarthy parted ways after five seasons keep appearing and disappearing on sportsbooks everywhere.

Macdonald fired Ryan Grubb last week. The move came one day after the former University of Washington offensive coordinator finished his only season as Seattle’s OC. The Seahawks missed the playoffs for the second consecutive season, the first time that’s happened since the 2008-’09 seasons.

Overall, McCarthy leaves the Cowboys after earning a 50-36 record (playoffs included), three postseason appearances, two NFC East titles, and one lone Wild Card win – albeit over Tom Brady’s Buccaneers in his last game ever.
