Legendary rockers Black Sabbath posted their first comments on the death of former frontman and metal icon Ozzy Osborne.

The larger-than-life frontman of the pioneering heavy metal band Black Sabbath Ozzy Osbourne has died. He was 76.

Black Sabbath "have lost our brother", says band's co-founder, weeks after farewell gig in their home city Birmingham.

The “Crazy Train” singer’s health had taken a turn for the worse in his final years, in part due to a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.

In the late 1960s, Osbourne and Butler first collaborated in the band Rare Breed, and they later joined Iommi and Ward, who had previously played together in Mythology, to form Polka Tulk Blues. They eventually renamed the band Earth, and changed it once more to Black Sabbath.
