Gov. Greg Abbott says 161 people remain missing after catastrophic Central Texas flooding, as the death toll climbs to 109 and search efforts intensify.

The number of dead from the devastating floods across central Texas surpassed 100 as dozens of people remain missing. In Kerr County, at least 84 people died, including 28 children, according to officials.

The loss of life is unimaginable. While we are still grappling with what happened, it’s important to understand the historic nature of this flood. It likely already ranks as the third-deadliest flood in Texas history.
