The National Hurricane Center issued a warning that one of the tropical depressions might develop into a "significant hurricane" by Wednesday, while two others strengthened off the shores of Mexico and turned into tropical storms on Sunday.

Tropical Storm Barry, the second named storm of this year's Atlantic hurricane season, was located on the country's southeast coast, about 50 miles east-southeast of Tuxpan, Mexico and about 130 miles southeast of Tampico, Mexico, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami.

Heavy rainfall, strong winds, and localized flooding are concerns for eastern Mexico, particularly with the expectation of up to 45 mph winds at landfall.
