国債先物中心限月９月限は、前営業日比９銭安の１３８円４７銭と３営業日続落して午前の取引を終えた。海外金利上昇や国内株高を受けて売られた。新発１０年国債利回り（長期金利）は同０．５ベーシスポイント（ｂｐ）上昇の１．５０５％。

前場の東京株式市場で日経平均は前営業日比５８２円９０銭高の４万３３０１円０７銭と続伸した。日経平均は節目の４万３０００円台に乗せ、連日の最高値となった。ＴＯＰＩＸ（東証株価指数）も史上最高値を更新。前日に公表された米消費者物価指数（ＣＰＩ）が市場予想とおおむね一致し、米国の利下げ期待が維持されたことで買い安心感が広がった。好業績銘柄への買いが継続している点も相場を支えた。
