The new and improved 2025 Toyota GR Corolla represents an unexpected but much-appreciated update for Toyota’s still-young hot hatch, adding torque, suspension enhancements, and an available eight-speed auto.

Including the $1,135 destination charge, the 2025 GR Corolla Core with the new eight-speed automatic starts at $41,995. Don’t even think about trying to go for the manual to save a few bucks, as that price has risen as well. A GR Corolla with the six-speed now starts at $39,995 including destination, $2,360 more than the 2024 model year.

You will now pay $38,860, a $2,360 increase over last year's starting price of $36,500 for the base GR Corolla Core trim level. The eight-speed automatic adds $2,000 to the price, bringing it to $40,860 for the cheapest two-pedal model. These prices exclude a $1,135 dealer processing and handling fee.

The GR Corolla line up is expanding for model year 2025 with the addition of the of the available 8-speed GAZOO Racing Direct Automatic Transmission (DAT) with paddle shifters. Now there is an option for both hardcore enthusiasts who enjoy the thrill of a manual transmission and those who'd rather focus on dynamic handling in the automatic transmission.

Such as, say, the Toyota GR Corolla. For the 2025 model year, the base price of Toyota's all-wheel-drive hot hatch is climbing from $37,365 to $39,995 — a $2,630 increase. In other words, the cost of getting into a new GR Corolla inflated by 7% over the last year.

While we're patiently waiting to see whether a spicy GRMN version is coming or not, the GR Corolla gets a price tag for the 2025 model year. The math now starts at $39,995 if you stick to the base Core trim level with a six-speed manual gearbox.
