About 5,000 residents of Riverside County, California, east of Los Angeles, were under an evacuation order Monday because of a quickly spreading wildfire, authorities said.

The initial blaze was reported at 11:28 a.m. Monday in the area of Idaleona Road and Juniper Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
