The notion that only one person survived the Air India plane crash that killed 241 people on board is sparking interest on social media about how that could happen and if such a thing has happened before.

After a London-bound plane crashed shortly after takeoff in India, officials have confirmed that 241 victims aboard the flight have died.

All but one of the 242 people on board the London-bound flight died when it crashed into a residential area in Ahmedabad shortly after take-off.
