Strong storms are heading to the Houston area on Thursday afternoon, prompting the KHOU 11 Weather Team to issue a Weather Impact Alert from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Happy Thursday! Today is a KSLA First Alert Weather Day as we are tracking the potential for strong to severe storms in the ArkLaTex this afternoon. Flash Flooding has already been reported north of I-30 and that will likely continue into the afternoon.
First Alert Weather: Rain and a few storms return tonight
Rain will move in after 8 p.m. and just after midnight, a few storms will move in through early Friday. We can’t rule out a strong, gusty storm through Friday morning and some rumbles of thunder. This system will exit Alabama by midday Friday.
