Meta’s chief executive has stepped away from his mea culpa approach to issues on his platforms and has told people that he wants to return to his original thinking on free speech.

The social media mogul said Tuesday that Facebook and Instagram will shift to a community notes model and "work with President Trump" to push back on governments going after U.S. companies.

The billionaire and his company needed Speaker Mike Johnson's help to stop legislation that would have regulated social media for the first time.
