Monster Hunter Outlanders seemingly adds survival crafting and base building exclusive to mobile. The game allows players to gather resources like chopping trees to customize their home. Outlanders maintains core gameplay but optimizes for mobile with unique characters and companions.

Capcom has released a handful of mobile games based on the 20-year-old Monster Hunter brand, but most have been smaller minigame-focused interpretations of series elements, and many have been released only in Japan. Capcom and Niantic released Monster Hunter Now, a Pokémon Go -like experience based on Monster Hunter, globally in 2023.
