Cam Skattebo became a household name on New Year’s Day with his tour de force performance in Arizona State’s Peach Bowl matchup against Texas. The Sun Devils running back almost singlehandedly brought his team back from what looked like a blowout loss to a wildly entertaining overtime thriller.

Over the summer, Skattebo was considered a potential free-agent prospect by NFL scouts, mostly because evaluators doubted he was the level of athlete required for the next level.

And yet, in the opinion of NFL draft expert Dane Brugler of The Athletic, Skattebo isn't even a lock to get picked in the top-100 of the upcoming draft, to the point where he might just end up being a fourth-round pick if things break his way.
