The DNC’s credentials committee has decided that there should be a new election for vice chair positions after Kenyatta and David Hogg, the gun control activist and a survivor of the 2018 Parkland, Fla., high school mass shooting, were elected in February.

Hogg found his position on shaky ground last month after he pledged to help primary Democratic members of Congress he perceived as ineffective.

The recommended change in voting for a vice chair position in the Democratic National Committee is a "slap in the face," Kenyatta said.
