The Alabama baseball team won last weekend's series at home against Georgia with victories in the latter two games. To triumph in the series at No. 23 Florida this time around, the No. 18 Crimson Tide will have to do the same.

In the first inning, they lost star catcher Luke Heyman to a wrist injury, and according to head coach Kevin O’Sullivan, Heyman is done for the season with a forearm fracture. Later, Justin Nadeau exited with a jammed finger.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency identified the victims as Alan David Waller, 74, Marian Diane Myrick Waller, 71, both of Floral, Fla., and Carrie Christine Stone, 49, of Inverness, Fla. The family was driving on County Road 95 and crossed two lanes of traffic across U.S. 84 in Gordon, Ala., near the Georgia line.

The Florida Gators have battled injuries for most of 2025, and Thursday's matchup against Alabama is no different.

Alabama is set to travel for their final SEC series of the regular season this weekend, facing the Florida Gators in Gainesville.
