Nine flood warnings have been issued after heavy rain deluged parts of Oxfordshire. Many areas saw more than 100mm of rain fall over Sunday and Monday which forced numerous schools to close and left roads completely submerged.

Several schools have been forced to close across Oxfordshire after heavy rain caused flooding. The sites have shut after buildings were deluged with water and some found manholes were open or broken. A night and morning of persistent heavy rain has also caused drains to back up.

As the first rain of the fall season begins in the Gaza Strip, displaced Palestinians living in the sprawling Muwasi tent camp along the coast struggle to cope with flooding.
