Nearly every Big Lots store has closed since the retailer filed for bankruptcy last year, but some are about to get a new life.

Ocean State Job Lot is taking over more than a dozen former Big Lots locations, bringing the discount retail chain to new communities across the Northeast and mid-Atlantic. Ocean State Job Lot has acquired 15 former Big Lots stores,

All of the Big Lots conversions are expected to conclude by May or June of this year when they will reopen as Job Lot shops, Ocean State Job Lot indicated.
