Lafufus are counterfeit versions of Labubus that have proliferated in the wake of the original's popularity, with everyone from street vendors to Facebook sellers either selling them outright as fakes or attempting to pass them off as originals in order to profit off the scarcity of the original.

Pop Mart, a store known for its creation of the trending Labubu dolls, is set to open its first Massachusetts store at the Natick Mall. The store sells a variety of collective figures that are either original characters or in collaboration with popular franchises such as Disney, The Powerpuff Girls, Minions and Harry Potter.

Walmart just slashed the price on one of Pop Mart's most sought-after Labubu collections, and dedicated collectors are taking notice.
