Several Massachusetts communities impacted by the Republic Services sanitation strike​ wrote to the company urging a quick resolution.

The stalemate comes just days after Republic Services accused striking workers of harassing employees and slashing tires at their Revere location. The Massachusetts towns affected by the strike are: A Teamsters spokesperson says the strike will take as long as necessary.

A federal mediation session failed to bring Teamsters Local 25 and Republic Services to an agreement that would end a garbage collection strike affecting more than a dozen Massachusetts towns.
