In the Steelers’ preseason Week 2 matchup, rookie DL Derrick Harmon ran through Buccaneers LG Ben Scott for his first sack in Pittsburgh.

Johnson, who struggled in his first game against the Jaguars by being too tense by his own admission, said he played freely and stopped overthinking. There are still things on the field that he wants to improve, but his decision making is one area he felt took a leap.

Steelers fans had a fun day on the North Shore tailgating before heading in for Saturday night's tune-up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Saturday's contest was the only home preseason game of the 2025 season, but Max Kilgore's Acrisure Stadium debut still meant the world.

Harmon, who is already projected to start Week 1, flashed that pass-rush prowess on Saturday night. On third-and-8, Harmon walked back Buccaneers starting left guard Ben Bredeson and sacked backup QB Kyle Trask. Later, Harmon held his ground to allow Cole Holcomb to fit a gap and stop a ball carrier for no gain.

This year’s collection of hold-ins included kicker Chris Boswell. His hold-in has ended as quietly as it began. Boswell is playing on Saturday night for the Steelers, in their preseason game againt the Buccaneers. He handled the opening kickoff.
