Disney said it was investigating an unauthorized release of over a terabyte of data from one of its communication systems.

Walt Disney plans to transition away from its use of Slack as a companywide workplace collaboration system, after a hacking entity leaked online more than a terabyte of company data, according to a report in the Status media newsletter.

Disney will not use Slack anymore for its internal communication after a breach in July exposed 1TB worth of sensitive data.

In an internal memo shared this week, CFO Hugh Johnston says most Disney teams will move away from Slack by the end of this year.
